How it works
A ruleset describes the shape and quality expectations for your uploaded supplier or product file. It brings together the columns to read and the rules used to check their values.
Reusable validation definitions. Select one before uploading a CSV or Excel file; that ruleset is applied to the file.
Fields the ruleset expects to find in the uploaded file. Source columns are the header names from the file’s first row.
Checks that describe valid data. Rules can target a column or the whole file, and report an Error, Warning, or Info result.
A column has a display name, internal column_key, data type, and settings for whether the column or its value is required.
Multiple source column names can map to one normalized column, so headers such as Supplier ID and Supplier Code can represent the same field.
The uploaded file provides the data and column headers. The ruleset maps those headers to normalized columns and defines the checks applied to each row or to the file as a whole.
